Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Welcome to Convertify ("we", "us", or "our"). Convertify provides an entirely browser-based application dedicated to converting PNG and WEBP image formats instantly. Protecting your personal information and ensuring your digital privacy is our absolute highest priority. This Privacy Policy outlines the minimal data we collect, how it is used, and underscores our commitment to a serverless file conversion architecture. This policy is effective as of April 2026.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Because of our unique architectural design utilizing the Canvas API, the images you upload and process are never sent to any server. Convertify completely lacks a backend file processing server. Therefore, we do not collect, view, copy, log, or store any of your image uploads, file contents, file metadata, or conversion results. Your confidential files physically never leave your local device's memory.
3. Information We DO Collect
We only collect absolutely minimal, non-personally identifiable information required to maintain the availability and monitor the basic health of our website infrastructure.
- Basic Analytics: We may utilize industry-standard analytics scripts (such as Google Analytics) to monitor aggregate traffic metrics including page views, generalized geographical data (country level), referral sources, and browser/OS type.
- Communication Data: If you intentionally contact us using our contact form or support email, we will temporarily collect your provided name and email address for the sole purpose of responding to your inquiry.
We absolutely do not gather or sell personally identifiable information without your direct consent.
4. Cookies
Convertify utilizes local storage and standard cookie technology to enhance your browsing experience.
- Local Storage: We use your browser's local storage capabilities strictly to save your UI preference (e.g., remembering if you have toggled "Dark Mode" on). This is not a tracking cookie.
- Analytics Cookies: Third-party analytics providers may generate cookies to track anonymous traffic. If utilized, you can opt out of Google Analytics data collection by visiting the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. Third-Party Services
Convertify relies on certain secure third-party, open-source libraries and APIs to function optimally.
- Google Fonts: Used to load typography securely. Your IP address may be briefly visible to Google servers solely to download the font file.
- JSZip: We load an open-source library from a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to enable the batch ZIP capability. No data flows from your browser to JSZip.
- Advertisements: We may integrate with Google AdSense to display advertisements.
6. Google AdSense Disclosure
Convertify may display ads served by Google AdSense to help fund our free service. Google uses specialized cookies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this and other websites across the internet.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve targeted ads based on your digital footprint. You have complete control over this and may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
7. Children's Privacy
Convertify's services are not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We absolutely do not knowingly collect personal or tracking data from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take immediate steps to scrub that information from our logs.
8. Data Security
Since your files are never transmitted to us, the risk of a data breach compromising your images is practically non-existent. For the delivery of the website infrastructure itself, we enforce strong encryption utilizing HTTPS (SSL/TLS) for all connections, ensuring that your connection to our interface is secure against malicious actors or modern network interception.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (such as under the GDPR or CCPA), you may possess specific rights regarding your personal data. You have the right to know what data we collect (as detailed above) and the right to block analytics and tracking cookies via your browser settings or ad network opt-out pages.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may periodically update our Privacy Policy to reflect changes in regulatory standards or site architecture overhauls. When significant changes occur, we will post the updated policy to this page alongside a prominent notification banner on our homepage to inform users.
